Then complete the relevant application form that requires:
A panel interview will be arranged once all the above has been reviewed.
Upon approval and payment of an annual fee, you’ll receive your certificate and seal and be listed in the public register.
An Ongoing Professional Development (OPD) diary is required to be completed every two years to maintain accreditation.

SSA is leading international efforts to explore a global recognition program for accreditation for soil scientists. CEO Michael Walker chairs a Working Group established in 2024 within the International Union of Soil Science (IUSS) to assess global demand and feasibility.
The Registered Soil Practitioner is a new national accreditation program for soil practitioners to enhance and standardise expertise across Australia.
Developed in collaboration with soil scientists, industry, government, land and natural resource managers and the wider soil community the accreditation is a symbol of trust for people who work with soils.
