SOIL SCIENCE AUSTRALIA

In 1996 the Australian Society of Soil Science Inc and the Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology jointly developed the Standards for Professionals in Agriculture and Agri-Industry. In 2002 under the leadership of Prof. Robert E. White the Standards were modified for the Certified Professional Soil Scientist (CPSS) accreditation scheme. The first accreditation handbook and guidelines for CPSS were printed in 2003 and have been updated on a regular basis.

Soil science is a highly specialised field and CPSS recognises the educational qualifications and experience of a soil scientist.  If you would like further information on the CPSS program please visit the web site www.cpss.com.au
